Hi @Kait-Hardin, this photo is unfortunately very blurry so it is hard to see what exactly you are referring to. However, from what I can see, this appears to be a rock with some possible marine fossils.

Hi, @kait-hardin could you let us know where you found it? That usually helps us narrow in on some potential IDs. It’s pretty hard to say from this image if that’s a fossil or a strangely weathered rock.

I found this near San Marcos, Texas. The rivers water level has been exceptionally low.

Thanks for the info @kait-hardin – it could be a burrow? I don’t think it’s part of a body fossil since the bits that look like it may be fossil-y are the same as the surrounding rock. I can chime in @mackenzie-smith and @jeanette-pirlo who have different expertise than I do!

Looks like rocks NW of San Marcos are Cretaceous and SE are Quaternary. I agree with @jbauer, probably burrow.
