Some kind of bivalve shell
-
or possibly brachiopod too.
-
@keith-peavy Paleozoic brachiopod. Mostly likely Cambro-Ordivician or Carboniferous. Still amazed your finding such great specimens considered the local lithology.

2 years, 1 month ago2 years, 1 month ago@aiden-gore Hahaha! Well, I need a better picture but whatever is encased (the top part is visible) has a very distinct, ribbed contour to it that is similar to other fossil patterns that we have been finding. It’s a bit discolored here so it perhaps does not stand out too well.

Looks like brachiopods and a bryozoan
-
@a-trilobite Thank you!

Dinosaur skin can also fossilize not just the bones
-
@cheyanne-mcgehee The strata around Blommenholm is from the Paleozoic, so before the time of the dinosaurs. Also, most fossilized dinosaur skin that I have worked with, seen, or own do not demonstrate external molds with such patterning. Scale impressions are usually considerably smaller as well.

imprints
-
Maybe it’s not a dinosaur skin fossil. But it could still be a fossilized skin of something else right?

Greetings @keith-peavy ! Could get a closer shot and provide a scale like a coin or ruler to get a sense of the size of the specimens you’re looking to have identified.
-
When is a baby fossilized sea urchin
-
Greetings @keith-peavy ! Could you provide a shot of the lower right corner of the specimen? There appears to be the calyx of a horn coral.

Hey @keith-peavy ! This could be an igneous rock from some of the Carboniferous strata that is NW of Blommenholm.
-
It looks like it has natural turquoise in it
-
a prehistoric stick
