Pyrite is magnetic, try putting a magnet to it. If it doesn’t stick, it’s probably a mica. Micas form thin flakes, if that’s what it looks like then mica for sure. Could be gold though, if still not sure u can take a piece of unglazed ceramic and rub the shiny part on it, if it streaks gold then it is gold
