Here is a small Plataninophyllum leaf. The name is composed of “Platanin” for Platanus (commonly known as the Sycamore in the US and Plane Tree in the UK) and “-phyllum” for leaf. We believe it to be related to sycamores. Note the agrophic veins (the asymmetric tertiaries coming off the basal secondaries which are actually on top since the picture is upside down). #fossil
