Based on the location, @McKay-Clemens, I think this may be from the Green River Formation. Can you use Macrostrat (https://macrostrat.org/map/#/z=1.5/x=16/y=23/bedrock/lines/) to confirm where you found it and figure out the age/rock formation?
@samantha-ocon It was at fossil butte, but the green river formation is a great place.
