That’s a LOT. I can’t tell if they’re belemenites or orthacones, so I’ll see if @matthew-gramling knows
Yea I’m stuck on it @a-trilobite
Kinda leaning towards belemenites since they’re commonly found together
Greetings @a-trilobite and @meika-mcalister ! I’m not exactly sure. If you could provide a more local geographic designation like town or county that would help narrow down an idea. Honestly, they look like coral sponges which have been pressed down and preserved under sediment. An example being the collapse of a marine ledge or bank.
@chloe-geddes may have more luck in narrowing down an ID.

Thankyou @matthew-gramling they have been flattened as though their bodies were very soft. I found it in Central Australia near Tennant Creek, Georgina Basin/Davenport Province. Lots of surrounding chert and beds of juvenile trilobites. That’s interesting actually, maybe they are far softer during their juvenile stage but they appear too short and wide to be Belemnites so I’m stuck.
Most welcome @meika-mcalister ! You must be working in the Gum Springs Formation then. It’s Middle Cambrian and loaded with bioclastic material.
I am not sure, sorry. My initial thought was a crystalline calcite vein…
