@melanie-horner lovely specimen!! This is called banded chert, its not a fossil but it’s still pretty cool looking. The coast of the UK is the only place I’ve seen such beautiful examples of it found consistently

@melanie-horner nice fossil! This is a cross section of a part of a sea lily (or crinoid) stem. We’d love to add it to our research database if you wouldn’t mind taking a few extra steps:
1) Take another picture with a scale. A ruler is preferred but a coin will do in a pinch!
