Ammonite Hunting: Species Identification – Fossil Hunting
Not all trips fossil hunting are for the purpose of finding new fossils or new species for the collection. On this trip out fossil hunter Dr. Steve Etches, MBE looks specifically for certain species of ammonites. Looking into certain species longevity and how long they potentially existed. Having previously redefined some ammonite species from within the Kimmeridge clay, Steve looks to continue exploring how some of the existing information could be wrong from his observations.
