3 years, 6 months ago3 years, 6 months agoCool, are there any known Ordovician deposits in michigan you know of? I couldn’t find any info about it online, only things telling of Devonian age deposits.

3 years, 7 months ago3 years, 7 months agoIt could be, but each deep imprint seems to be curved in a downward U shape. If it was a gastropod, i think it would appear spiraled, and the imprints slanted. There also appears to be some kind of conical imprint surrounding and highlighting the impressions, which seems odd to me.

Probably an Orthacone shell fragment then. I also see part of a crinoid stem next to it as well.

3 years, 10 months ago3 years, 10 months agoYeah, I just wish I could find some other stuff where I live too. I only really ever find corals and things like that, but finding a complete and intact brachiopod or trilobite would be awesome!
