I hope I remember to get a photo for you all. Its amazing to think how high this tree was. Apparently there is another 2m piece in a museum in the next town. Im thinking its a giant probably as high as our elevator. Imagine that.

I would love to come and hike there one day. I only have experience with South African fossils most of them in my town at the school where I taught for 38 years. I always say that if you get bitten by the rockbug you are ill, very ill. However getting fossil fever is terminal. 😆

Pamela, that’s one big bone. Check Google images. I found pictures of similar structures which were labelled as the top parts of ribs. If this is true then this is a pretty big animal. Maybe something like Triceratops? A paleontologist can definitely do better thanl. Beautiful.
