Sizing Up Turkeys

This is a middle school math lesson about proportions.  It might be a fun activity the week of Halloween or Thanksgiving.  Students use 3D fossil turkey leg bones to hypothesize what future turkeys could fictionally look like if the growth rate were to remain constant.  Although with that scenario we may want to call it “Monster Turkeys”.  Ha ha…
