4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoHi, @rob-mccannell –
If you want to check out the local geology: https://macrostrat.org/map/#/z=7.1/x=-76.4097/y=34.9189/bedrock/lines/
Are you sure this is a shark tooth? It is really hard to tell from the image.
Talk to you soon,

4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoHi, @rob-mccannell – could you upload a few more images with the fossil at different angles, perhaps with a ruler? This image is a bit blurry but the specimen looks really great! Talk to you soon, Jen

4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoHi, @rob-mccannell – did you want me to tag in some shark experts to verify your identification?
You location and geologic context don’t seem to add up to me, can you verify that’s where you collected the fossil? Talk to you soon, Jen

6 years, 10 months ago6 years, 10 months agoHi Rob @rob-mccannell ,
It’s a bit hard to see, but I think this might be a bivalve fragment, specifically from a pecten. Not sure of the specific type though.
