Scute? I could be wrong
-
Croc/gator scute. At least where I usually collect the croc scutes have larger and deeper holes like this, and the turtles are smaller, more numerous and shallower.
-
Alligator, crocodile scutes lack the ridge
-
Alligatoroid as has been stated. If it was found in the Hell Creek Formation it is likely Brachychampsa or Leidyosuchus. @ryan-holen

I feel like this is man made, it looks like a piece of fake brick wall or something like that. The shape and pattern just don’t look natural.
-
Wrong. This is most certainly not man made.
-
Not man made for sure
-
l wouldn’t say this is manmade either. however, any semblance of an identity for your specimen would require a few more perspectives and clearer images.
-
never mind, l noticed you already posted more images. quite a bizarre object. I’ll put it out there that it resembles scaly skin, but a trip to a museum would be recommended to make sure it isn’t simply a very odd mineral formation.

It’s a collection of worm tubes, how big is it?
It is approximately 8” long x 5” wide x 4 1/2” thick. Bottom has sandstone. What kind of worm would it be?
I wouldn’t know what kind of worms they are, but you could look up fossils found in your area. Nice find!
@ryan-holen Teredo wood. Teredo is the genus of shipworm, though it’s actually a clam. This was wood that was burrowed by the Teredo clam. It happens to be the state fossil of North Dakota.
