3 years, 4 months ago3 years, 4 months ago@sara-andrade@matthew-gramling Sorry for the late reply! I think your right, Matthew, that looks like a Phacopid to me, like Phacopid/Eldredgeops. It’s great that you were able to save it, Sara, that’s a really nice specimen!

3 years, 5 months ago3 years, 5 months ago@sara-andrade Medullosales would be the taxonomic Order for this specimen. As @patrick-hsieh states, this specimen is likely from a Carboniferous (Pennsylvanian epoch) formation.

3 years, 5 months ago3 years, 5 months ago@sara-andrade That’s a sad story, but I’m glad you were able to save these specimens. I wish they could have had some information regarding their geological provenance, but that can be procured over time. They are really superb specimens, especially this trilobite.

3 years, 5 months ago3 years, 5 months agoHey @sara-andrade ! @nathan-newell might be able to help with narrowing down the taxonomy. I’ve seen similar trilobites to this one in field, but can’t remember the ID.
