7 years, 6 months ago7 years, 6 months ago@joyce-drakeford, I know Aurora Friends meets fairly rarely, but I wonder if this is something you would be interested in.
Maybe @spassmore would find this strategy interesting for WIPS, too.
@david-clark, is this something FUMMP would want to do?

7 years, 6 months ago7 years, 6 months ago@joyce-drakeford, you bring up a very valid point — it isn’t just professional women in paleontology who experience barriers and discrimination.
I would be interested to learn how amateur/avocational paleontologists have overcome gender-based barriers to their collecting, study, and exposure to paleontology. Thoughts, @spassmore, @cindy-lockner,…[Read more]

7 years, 7 months ago7 years, 7 months ago@cgrant Here’s a few iterations of the flyer for @bmacfadden‘s upcoming webinar on Field Notes. The first one (Field Notes 101 Flyer) is better for distributing to individuals, the second one (Field Notes 101_v2) is better for social media, like Facebook. It fits with Facebook’s standards for amount of text to image ratio, so it can be “boosted”…[Read more]

I just set one up for DPS. Is the site open enough for me to offer it as an option for my youth group? We have about 55 on the roster, but there are lots of siblings. If so, I can create an educational outreach group for them as well.
-
Great! Thanks for creating a DPS group, Tynessa! I believe the site is open enough for k-12 participants. Just have them go to the landing page and fill out the registration form with a parent. Then a login will be created and sent to the registrant email address. Thanks!
