Maybe a shark tooth ?

Did you find that in Texas? I’m not a vertebrate specialist but that doesn’t look like a shark tooth. That looks awfully like a dromaeosaur or tyrannosaur to me. If you found it, I think you should take it to your natural history museum and let them know where you found it.

Greetings @tabatha-k ! Alvord possesses Early Cretaceous strata, so you specimen could be a number if things. It almost looks like theropos dinosaur tooth fragment , but I won’t assert that conclusively. Possibly shark, but I’m leaning more toward a reptilian ID. Geological formations are Antler Sands and Trinity Sands. Both were marine environments. So, your specimen could be from a marine reptile or shark.

So, in sum it appears to be a tooth from an early Cretaceous marine vertebrate from the Antlers Sand or Trintiy Sand Formations. I would probably take @patrick-hsieh advice about contacting someone from the Perot Museum.
