About
Hi! My name’s Tara. I’m a paleontologist and educator working at The Webb Schools / Raymond M. Alf Museum in southern California. I absolutely love paleontology education. In my career I’ve researched fossil trackway conservation and trackmaker speeds, and I did my Master’s work (museum and field studies) in collections management on the paleoecological interpretation of tyrannosaurid coprolites – specifically tissue inclusions and morphotype analysis. (Publications forthcoming…!)
I’ve also implemented ways to bring active science research into the K-12 and university classroom. I’d love to chat about trace fossils, vertebrate morphology, and paleontology education – feel free to connect with me!
