Haha! You’re beeing introduced into fossils huh? This is called an ammonite. It belongs to a long dead clade of marine cephalopods. Inside this shell, there was a little squid-like creature.

@tara-c As Devin said, you most certainly can! This is indeed from an orthoconic nautiloid. If you have an approximate location, we can narrow down age, but it is likely from the paleozoic
