Favorite Collecting Site(s) or Region(s)
Since I live in western PA a lot of my collection sites are around roadcuts or the woods around my town. Most of the fossils I have were during field camp trips by the C&O canal in Maryland, Seneca Rocks/Big Bend West Virginia, and highway cuts in Central PA.
I also like to pick fossils from float like parking lot gravel and limestone blocks on the road. I know they aren’t scientifically useful per say, but it is neat to find them.
About
Semi-Recent Geology grad from Indiana University of Pennsylvania who has a lifelong passion for paleontology. Tried to get into a Masters program after graduated in 2014, but unfortunately wasn’t picked; still I try to find the time to keep up with all things paleontology and look for fossils from time to time. Now paying my bills as a lab tech in a coatings factory, but I hope to get back on the road to being a paleontologist or a geologist.
