The FOSSIL Project was funded by an NSF grant from 2013 – 2019. Unfortunately, after this period, FOSSIL will no longer be maintained by a full-time team.
The original goal of the FOSSIL Project (which stands for Fostering Opportunities for Synergistic STEM with Informal Learners) was to encourage interactions between paleontologists from a wide variety of backgrounds and knowledge levels. Although we may not have a full-time team several of our services will remain available or maintained by volunteers.
