Calling all Girl Scouts! Join the Museum and celebrate the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council’s “She’s A Scientist” annual program. Experience hands-on activities and experiments while meeting local scientists. The program fee is $5 per Scout, which includes a patch created specifically for this event. This program is for Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts. One adult chaperone per 10 Scouts may participate for free, and additional chaperones are $5. NOTE! Over 30 participants have been selected for the upcoming 2017 Fossils For Teachers Professional Development workshop taking place August 2-5. On November 4th from 10am – 3pm, Florida fossil clubs will participate in FLMNH’s National Fossil Day festivities at Powell Hall.  Children, families, and all those interested in fossils are welcome to join in on the fun and learning!  Professional and amateur paleontologists will be on hand to answer your pressing questions about Florida paleontology.  Touch real fossils!  This event is FREE and open to the public!
