Hey, Ron.Voskuil. I do appreciate your comment. However, for the present I am leaving it as is. I did visit the web site mentioned in your comment and I do see the difference in the spire. However, to say that the specimen “certainly is not” is a little definite for me. I do not know your credentials, but I have learned over the years of collecting on the east coast as well as here in Texas that many times there are regional differences. Sometimes we assign a sub genus and sometimes we don’t. I will run this by a professional when I get a chance to get opinion. If we decide it should be changed I will be more than happy to change it.
