I am at an exciting 2 day professional development with Bruce MacFadden from Univeristy of Florida.  I am surrounded by other K-12 educators and we are learning about bringing paleontology into the classroom.  Yesterday we did a great “dig” with bags of sand hunting for micro-fossils. Teachers found shark teeth as well as other fossils.  Using the identification pdfs from Aurora museum in North Carolina we identified our findings. I can’t wait to try this with my 3rd graders!
