Initial meeting of the new Georgia Paleontological Society (Macon, GA)

The newly-created Georgia Paleontological Society is envisioned as a union between amateurs & professionals and we will stand in support of research & education into Georgia’s fossil record. Additionally, we will be complaint with guidelines from myFOSSIL.org. Our intention is to promote education, historical preservation, advance research, and increase public awareness of Georgia’s fossil record.
The public is welcomed to attend the initial meeting of our new Society. Science teachers are especially encouraged to attend.
