Smithsonian Science How Text Chat with Fossil Preparator Michelle Pinsdorf (Online)

January 18, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 11:30 am

Participate in a live text chat with Michelle Pinsdorf to learn about how she carefully preserves fossils to maintain their value far into the future. Prepare your students by viewing the Smithsonian Science How video archive of Michelle describing her work at the Smithsonian.

Text Career Chats
These free, interactive, text-based web chats feature scientists who have previously appeared on a Smithsonian Science How live webcast. The text chats do not have a live video component. The chats take place twice each day, and allow students to have direct conversations via text with scientists about their career pathways and research at the Museum. Supplement each live chat by watching the Smithsonian Science How video of the featured scientist and using the available teaching resources before and after the chat.
