Members and friends of the KU Natural History Museum in Lawrence, KS, are invited to join us for Member Day on October 28 from 1-3pm.  This year's Member Day theme is Fossils.  Bring your fossils in for identification and then examine even more fossils on display.  We'll have light refreshments and offer tours of the Vertebrate Paleontology collections and prep lab. Lawrence Public Schools are out!  Join us at the KU Natural History Museum for "Discovery Day: Marine Life" on Friday, May 24, from 10am - 12pm.  We'll have discovery stations on deep-sea fish, the ancient oceans of Kansas, jellyfish, parasites of sharks & rays, marine mammals, and much more.  Scientists and grad students from the KU NHM will be on hand to answer your questions and show you amazing specimens from our collections.  Don't miss it!
