You need to fill in a lot more of the data that you know. Is the location correct as where it was found, as it shows it in a parking lot near the Coosa River? Need an image with a scale next to it (a ruler would do fine). Also take some measurements. The reason I state this is because of all the dozens of round or oval rocks I have seen, this is ACTUALLY an egg. It has the flaky layers and outside texture of a fossil egg. This is an important find, that I would report to the museum as there may be more in the location. Additionally they may X-ray it to see if there are bones inside which could identify the animal.

For all those who ask if this is an egg they found. Look closely at the pictures, this is what a fossil egg looks like. Note the texture on the outside and the flaky layers.
