      It could possibly be the inside or mother of pearl of a mussel. There are some tabulate coral on the fossil.

      Cool. Thanks! I think the ‘pearly’ appearance is light artifact. I found the striations/ribs across the top interesting. The same markings are also on the bottom, but harder to see due to weathering on that side.
