5 years, 11 months ago5 years, 11 months ago@vperez bunch of those teeth I was talking to you about, mostly from Gainesville and a few from the Edisto in South Carolina. I’d had them in medicine capsules mostly, so I’ve just been getting around to organizing them. Some of the Carcharhinus are definitely tricky.
Yea, unfortunately, I think you’ll have a tough time getting to species with most of the Carcharhinids from the Gainesville creeks. There is a publication on sharks and rays of the Gainesville creeks, but I think the author was a little overconfident with identifying Carcharhinus to species. Regardless, the most common species would likely be leucas, obscurus, brevipinna, falciformis, limbatus, perezi, plumbeus, and/or signatus.
