Just incredible to think that not only are the dinosaurs not extinct, but remain one of the most successful group of vertebrates to ever exist! This is the foot of an emu, and it really looks prehistoric!

    • Dinosaur are related to birds but aren’t in the category of dinosaur. Dinosaurs are very dead birds and lizard and crocodiles and alligators are as close as you can get to a dinosaur. But that’s not saying much because it’s still not that close. Buts it’s as close as we can get. But dinosaurs are very dead. You can call it a modern day dinosaur but it’s still not a dinosaurs

    • Well they still are dinosaurs, they are closely related to species such as velociraptor, Utah raptor. They even are placed within the family tree of Dinosauria. The present scientific consensus is that birds are a group of theropod dinosaurs that originated during the Mesozoic Era. Also, birds are reptiles. The “birds are not theropods” movement is based on erroneous argumentation and fails to account for the data as well as the theropod hypothesis does. Also, there is no significant fossil evidence to say they aren’t.

    • In conclusion, they are just really flying theropods.
