Charlie Smith has contributed specimen mFeM 79120 to myFOSSIL!

    • Hi @charlie-smith. This is almost certainly from the unnamed Pleistocene deposits along the Peace and not the older Peace River Fm. In this case, and in the case of other specimens that are definitively Pleistocene from the Peace, you can delete the lithostratigraphy and note that it was from the unnamed Pleistocene gravels of the Peace River. Thanks

    • Hello @smoran I updated the two fossils you have commented on today. I figured these Pleistocene fossils from the Peace River were derived from a reworked Peace River formation as they were found in the same gravel layer where there are Miocene fossils. However, indicating that this comes from an unnamed Pleistocene gravel layer like you have suggested better reflects the UF/Florida Museum’s description of Peace River 3A site.

    • Thanks @charlie-smith! Looking at how we record Pleistocene specimens from the Peace at the Florida Museum informed my suggestion here. I think that’s the best way to do it for now.
