I found this at Brownwich cliff which rarely yields Pleistocene remains from around 100,000 years ago. I haven’t found any that I know of. Although I may at least have one out of every he inn I’ve collected. This really caught my eye as the Brickearth they come from is notorious for not having good preservation.
It could be an encased bird bone from the Eocene. As there is a mid Eocene formation.
Greetings @jack-parker-tyreman ! There are a number of “diagnostic features” about this specimen that lead me to believe that it is a bone. Not sure if I would venture an Eocene bird ID, but it’s either bone or a very convincing pseudofossil.
