    Found at low tide on Cayucos Beach, Moro Bay, CA.

      not convinced it’s a fossil, mostly based on the outer edge. Hopefully someone who knows the area can say for sure.

      Looks like weathered chalcedony. Pretty piece, but not a fossil. The area around Moro Bay is Franciscan Complex, which is characterized by sandstones and cherts. Lots of microfossils but not abundant macro fossils.
