FOSSIL UPLOAD
First, make sure you have a myFOSSIL account, this is required to upload your fossil information. If you are interested in seeing if your fossil can be used for research purposes, please follow through the following steps. They walk you through the information needed and why it is helpful for other scientists to use it for research questions. Even if the information you have on your fossil is not enough to be used for research purposes it will still benefit the community through educational means and help others identify their fossils. Specimens that have sufficient information will be uploaded to iDigBio and GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) for public accessibility.
If you have already gone through the stepwise process that explains each piece of data please click through to a summary tab where you can enter in your specimen data on a single page.

Hmm, this looks rather similar to another fossil we had on here a while back, but I can’t seem to remember what it was identified to be. Perhaps @a-trilobite or @leonardo-miranda could help.
The brown marks could be bryozoans. As for the other fossil, Leonardo Miranda had one a while ago. I know it’s a fairly rare and mysterious prehistoric marine invertebrate that lived like a sponge or coral, but I forget the name and exact age of it.
Greetings all! I think we are all thinking of the conulariids we’ve seen posted here in the last year or so. This does look similar.
@daniel-park and @a-trilobite
yes, this does resemble a conulariid
Thank you all! Great team work! 🤠
Glad to help and thanks for posting such interesting specimens!
Congratulations! This is (the big Fossil) a dickinsonia. It is one of the most older animals on earth!
It does indeed look similar to Dickinsonia however I’m thinking it’s a Conulariida. Thank you everyone for your responses. Had a great time investigating this one.
