Hi Edwin. Ive compared yours with some Google images. There three lighter parts that could be bone. I would suggest that you take it for further evaluation.

Thank you for your comment, @lynnete-luff. Where would you suggest taking it for evaluation?

Where can I find fossils in San Diego? What are the 5 major museums mentioned ? I guess LA and San Diego natural history museums, La Brea tar pits anything else? I am coaching for Fossils science Olympiad division B. Would greatly appreciate recommendations. Thank you!

Aren’t the LaBrea tarpits in Los Angelos?

According to my research it looks like San Diego has one Natural History museum in Balboa park. Fossil mysteries is a permanent feature of the museums.

Thank you, however I’m not obligated or inclined to blindly accept these peoples humble OPINION about a photo I took of a fossil.

I want to hazard guess that this might be tabulated coral. Needs confirmation though.

Found this a long time ago, having trouble identifying it, could be a geode or some type of fossil. Indentations are all over the rock with ridges on each crater. Found it in the central Texas region of the U.S. Can someone help me identify this. #fossil

It looks like this could be some kind of horn coral formation. It looks eroded.
