What is it? from the myFOSSIL app 2 years ago 2 years ago2 years agoThis is a (presumed) fossil my girlfriend’s mother found nearby. She emailed the Smithsonian department of paleobiology with images of multiple fossils, and they replied that the fossils were a mix of Pecopteris and Calamites, however I’m not sure which fossils/images are of which genuses. #fossil
Sorry, I’m having a little bit of trouble figuring out how to use the site. I’ve also posted this as a specimen with two additional pictures showing different angles and location information but the pictures aren’t showing up for me… any help on what I’m doing wrong is greatly appreciated!
If you are having trouble adding more pictures to 1 post I guess you could do multiple posts with different pictures.
@lexi-amico @william-muhlhauser please don’t make multiple posts of the same object. When you make a post be sure to save to your specimens/gallery. Go back to the original then you can add additional photos. It’s not intuitive on the app but that is how it’s done.
