@barbara-scherer this is unfortunately not a fossil but a rounded piece of granite! Would make a wonderful paperweight or hammerstone for flintknapping.
I am looking for just 1 SAMPLE “ of anything like this “ no granite has “ MEAT HOLES ON IT “ and GRANITE IS A SPECKLED PATTERN “
This has a distinct rounded pattern that goes around it in a circle “ the black areas are long ‘ not dots like granite “ this has a small spot that looks like 3 pinheads all coming out in 1 spot “ red in color “ It has even bulges that line up on both sides and a series of bumps on the upper side “
We have compared this to 50 or so granite samples “ the cream color feels like soft suede leather “ the white colors are pure milky white ,there are pink holes “ that look like meat “ on this but not in a pattern “ if just one person can show me the same example “ identical to the surface of this “ then I would believe it “ a granite rock this size “ is very heavy “ this has 1/2 the weight “ of the same size granite sample
I couldn’t find where to give a description of this “ before the pics posted “ no rock “ has creases or feels like this that I have ever seen “ 🙂
I would like to find out where this can be x-rayed ?
I have called several places around my area but no one does anything like that “ in Indiana
This has been seen by over 100 people in person “
And not one single person even thinks it’s a rock after touching it and feeling the bulging patterns on it “ The woman who had this ‘owned a very successful resort “ she and her hubby traveled the world “ she brought back exotic rocks “
This was purchased by her one a trip 30 years ago it had always been outside ‘ her daughter gave this to me “ when she passed “ No one has ever seen a sample of rock like this “ rocks normally do not have what look like meaty blow holes on them ? How would a rock have air to form these holes ? That are coming from the inside of the sample ? And why would they look like meat ?
I AM JUST HOPING “ SOMEONE WILL REALLY LOOK AT THE PICTURES “ And EXPLAIN HOW THAT WOULD WORK ? AS ALWAYS “ I THANK ANYONE IN ADVANCE “ FOR INFORMATION
I have been picking up rocks all my life “ 61 Now “ never have I even felt “ SKIN FEELING “ on a rock “SEVERAL SMOOTH ROCKS FEEL SOFT “ This is not the same feel THIS IS ALSO VERY POROUS EVERYWHERE “ 🙂
