My wife Mare and I are headed to Eastern Oregon this month for a scouting/collecting trip. We’ll be visiting the Fossil, Oregon and John Day country, including the Condon Paleontology Center and the monument units. Then we plan to head down to Izee to look for ammonites. Delintment Lake ammonites are also on our list. We’ll be sure to document the trip and post our finds.
That’s excellent! myFOSSIL also has a mobile app if you all don’t bring a computer along with you, it has been pretty handy for quick finds while I’m out in the field or to document my travels. There is also a vacation explorers group you might want to check out: https://www.myfossil.org/groups/vacation-explorers/ The app is mostly group based but we have some room for further development so feel free to message me with any feedback!
