3 years, 1 month ago3 years, 1 month agoCan anyone possibly help me with what this jaw is from? The teeth seem like a type of skink…kind of. I’m finding similarities to fossil lizards from the Oligocene and Miocene but yeah I’m at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Greetings @aaronj-isbell ! I believe what you have here are the pharyngeal teeth from a type of sucker fish like a spotted sucker or something like a redhorse. The coloration does exactly lend me to believe it’s all that or technically fossil. Still anatomically interesting!
