3 years, 7 months ago3 years, 7 months ago@daniel-park yes,it looks so, but difference is that human molar has usually two roots.( though the crown looks very similar). The long & single root system draws my attention somewhere else… @smoran if you could interfere.

3 years, 7 months ago3 years, 7 months ago@dyon-hunting the root portion is definitely mineralized. The central part of the crown has a hole, which is filled with some white material.

Homo Sapiens dont have that large Tooth. this looks like some Mesozoic creatures, can you tell if the specimen is fossilized or not.
-
Can I see the bottom
-
@smoran could help with this one if it is some other creature. I can see how it looks like a molar though, interesting!

could it be a premolar if it has one root? if it isn’t human, it’s definitely from a primate. Large monkey or ape
-

-
It does look like a premolar, however not being a dentist, I would not consider myself to be an expert in that field. I recommend taking it to a dentist and asking his opinion.

more closeup has been posted @bill-heim

It’s not the image that is the problem. Often features on the root will determine the species. On this specimen, those distinguishing features have been abraded off.

No, blacktip perhaps, it’s difficult to tell with lower Carcharhinus teeth.

fossilised wood, l presume?
yes, it is @leonardo-miranda
@mackenzie-smith your opinion please.
@drsukhendu-mukhopadhyay It’s easier to tell from a cross section as opposed to a longitudinal section. But to me it looks more bone-like.
