1 year, 8 months ago1 year, 8 months agoreally good chance it’s not a fossil would you mind if you have a chance at some point expanding or expanding rather upon that observation please as it may help both the author of this post and myself and others be able to distinguish that’s my hardest thing right now is distinguishing rocks from fossils

I know admin would rather you did not, each entry gets logged as a fossil specimen for possible research and it’s a lot of time to clean up. There are a lot of rock id groups around, many of them location-specific so you are more likely to get a more accurate answer.

@maria-furtado Nice find! It looks to be a fossil, could we get a clearer picture? Unfortunately the area it was found in is a little geologically complicated, but most rocks seem to be from the cambrian and devonian. I suspect it might be a gastropod or a nautiloid
