Did you find this in an area with deer? Looks like contemporary bone, a lot of hunters will cut through bone when they collect the head for mounting. Have found a lot of deer bones cut like this.
Looks like bone, but it could be coral. If your hands are sweaty, your fingers would slightly stick to it if it was a bone. If it’s clean, you can lick it to find out!

Probably some sort of coral
Actually, if you look at the stucture you see that the outside is hard and only the inside is soft, that is more likely a bone
