About
I love geology – rocks, minerals, fossils, petroleum, all of it. I find fossils fascinating in what they tell us about ancient environments. I like to collect invertebrates mostly, including species that many others consider boring – e.g. Inoceramid clams, oysters, and trace fossils. I studied volcanology in graduate school, which caused an interest in fossils preserved in volcanic rocks.
