a taxidermist in your area can identify for free
This is probably not helpful but aren’t hollow bones found in carnivorous animals?
Can you fill out the dimensions?
Looks like a cannon bone of a deer. The toe bone. The chewed end is where the final toes and hoofs go. Basically a deer walks on its top toes or finger nails. The nails being the hooves.
@adrianna-zonnefeld @chevy-barnes @james-preston thank you all for the help. The bone is 9inches in length. 1 – 1.25 inches circumference. We did see deer, beaver and a coyote in the immediate area so a chewed deer bone makes perfect sense! Thank you all again.
