Hey @adam-whitehouse ! Do you have any information about the general location where you found this specimen? Providing the nearest town can help narrow down the geological context, and therefore help provide an identification.

That would likely put you in Lias Group strata, which is Late Triassic to Early Jurassic. Fossils there are marine, so this likely some genus of fish. I would consider reaching out to a local museum to get further info. It could be of scientific importance.

definitely not a crinoid i would say and this is exactly why I posted this because I cant find anything of similarities to this piece. I have a nice crinoid piece which I shall post shortly .
