Found in one of the yards of Central Asia. Are these Fossils?
these look modern, sorry.
But it would still be very interesting to see what the animal is. Maybe @matthew-gramling could help you find out.
Since I’m not familiar with the wild life there I’ll have to give out general ideas. I see possible cow or horse and I would have to say some kind of big cat or bear. And maybe one pig or boar.
There are a lot of big canines there for sure.
Scale on those would help.
I defer to @james-preston . They look like the canine teeth or a large Asiatic by and large.
My principal guess is that they are from a Caspain tiger or Asiatic lion. Perhaps a leopard as well.
the Caspian tiger is extinct, and the asiatic lion only lives in India. If this is from Central Asia, I’m not sure what it is. It looks modern, but no predators alive or recently extinct have such large teeth. Also I’m not sure what the top left specimen is, or if all the specimens at the bottom are teeth or rib fragments. The thing that really throws me off is the teeth, because they’re Sabre tooth length, but it looks modern. Honestly you should ask an expert in your area if you want definitive answers.
Where in Asia
I was thinking more those species Holocene. They don’t exactly look like they been the ground too long however. The skull fragment in the upper left corner looks pretty close to a Panthera maxilla from the photos I have examined on Google.
*Holocene range
Could be an Asiatic black or brown bear too. Hard tell from the photo. Examining the teeth of the maxilla may help with an ID.
