2 years, 9 months ago2 years, 9 months agoHi David! That makes so much sense. I was wondering how the fragments would’ve embedded themselves. thank you so much for clarifying. Still a fun find right?

3 years ago3 years agoHi I am new here.
My daughter found this in northeastern Arizona. Looks like a spear head to me but not certain of course. It does have shell fragments imbedded on both sides. Any ideas?

Although It does resemble a spear, if that’s limestone/sandstone then it’s probably not a spear head because it would be way to soft and would break apart too easy when used. The fossils look like some pieces of a blown apart Crinoids and/or fragments of bryozoan. Nice find!

so refreshing to read a reply that is sharing knowledge, not being ugly or disrespectful!
