3 years, 11 months ago3 years, 11 months ago@colefossilfinder-blitz thank you! It’s great that sharks keep on losing them throughout their life so there’s an endless supply of teeth to be found!

3 years, 11 months ago3 years, 11 months agoHi, @santino-diaz & @daniel-park – I agree with @colefossilfinder-blitz too! I think it’s just a rock, it is a really interesting shape! It’s certainly not fossilized bone material, it would have a much different texture and appearance.

3 years, 11 months ago3 years, 11 months ago@santino-diaz I would have to agree with @colefossilfinder-blitz that this is just a rock, a cool looking one still! I’d like to verify if we are correct though, so @jbauer and @sadie-mills could you check this picture out? Thank you!

4 years, 2 months ago4 years, 2 months agoHi @Jodie-Slentz – I agree with @colefossilfinder-blitz that this is not a fossil. Bone has a spongy, fine, porous texture on the inside, with a dense layer laminating the outside. I’m thinking this is some sort of chalk or chert.
