4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoHi, @kyle-quina – we can minimally say this is Kingdom Animalia > Phylum Mollusca > Class Bivalvia
It looks sort of like Trigoniocardia decidua to me: https://neogeneatlas.net/species/trigoniocardia-decidua/
Let me know what you think!
Check out the images on that link and compare it to the inside of your specimen.
Talk to you soon, Jen -

4 years, 8 months ago4 years, 8 months agoHi, @kyle-quina – any idea what this is? It looks a little crab-like to me but the images are a bit blurry. Maybe @sadie-mills or @lmccall can help out.

7 years, 2 months ago7 years, 2 months agoIt is indeed a coral. @kyle-quina since you know it is a coral you can use the taxon helper and type in Anthozoa. This should auto-fill most of the other data. It’s hard to tell what kind of coral because it’s such a small fragment, so I would just put coral in the common name.

Agreed, a bit too blurry to tell. Might be a spine, or a scaphapod as well. Need more info to tell.
