Ive heard these are called hagstones. Some have one or more holes through them. Yours has an unusual shape . I wonder if this could have been used as a medicine bowl? Beautiful specimen

This is indeed not a fossil but a natural ironstone concretion, which go by various colloquial names.

This could be a concretion. They sometimes form around something like a piece of bone. In this case it may have eroded. Should there be some crystals on the inside. Then I guess it becomes a geode. Check on Google images. There are some doozies.

This might be a horn coral of some kind.

This is most definitely a rugose (or horn) coral, an extinct solitary coral which predates the dinosaurs. Nice find! Could you add an approximate location in the location field and a picture with a coin or ruler for scale? This will allow me to narrow down the age even more.
